Foreign graduates of the Pediatric University were awarded diplomas of higher education
This year 63 foreign students graduated from SPbSPMU. Future medical specialists awarded diplomas on an open platform near the the University.
Long-awaited diplomas got 63 students from Syria, Zambia, China, Ghana, Tunisia, Yemen, Ecuador, Guinea, Palestine, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Armenia.
- I hope that leaving Russia you will also take away part of the warmth you got here from teachers, doctors of clinics and our citizens. I believe that you have become convinced that our country treats guests and students with kindness. I hope you will take your love for Russia to your homeland and keep it for life, – said Dmitry Ivanov, rector of SPbSPMU.
- Our graduates work in all countries of the world today, and we constantly keep in touch with them. We are always ready to respond to your requests and suggestions any time. In general, the world, is very close and united, thanks to modern means of communication, – the rector continued.
Ivan Lyakhov, Vice-rector for administrative work and operational management, also urged not to lose touch with University. In his turn, Vice-rector for international cooperation and strategic development Yevgeny Gumanenko advised yesterday's students to join the Association of graduates of the Pediatric University.
Dean for work with foreign students Viktor Puzyrev said that he will remember this year's graduates for the rest of his life. Students participated in a variety of University events: intellectual games, volunteer projects, sports competitions. This helped them quickly get used to the unfamiliar environment and learn successfully.
Associate Professor of the Department of foreign languages Eugenia Shleinikova reminded the graduates about their first days in the University.
- The first question we asked you was «where are you from?». You answered, and the whole world opened up to us in one audience – a variety of countries and continents. And then, in the process of learning, your world became bigger. If I ask you the same question today, the answer will not be so clear. You will be able to say: «I am from Saint-Petersburg State Medical Pediatric University». Because Alma mater is a second home, – said Eugenia Shleinikova.
